The new code is in to allow for checking of secure sites (https). This has been the #1 requested feature by our users, and it feels great to have it ready for you! This is a premium-only feature, and comes with any of the premium plans.
Can it send a notification if the SSL certificate on said secure site is invalid? Then it’d be not just an uptime monitor but also track server configuration mistakes or expired SSL certificates.

A site with an invalid SSL certificate will still return all the regular HTTP Status Codes that any other site would. So for right now, no, we can’t send notifications for that. I’ll let you know if that ever becomes part of the feature set.
