Are My Sites Up LITE, free iPhone App for all

Posted on June 30th, 2009 by Chris Coyier

Our iPhone app has always been free, but it was a compliment to our paid, Premium plans. Today we’re happy to announce we have a new version of the iPhone app, AMSU LITE, for all the users on our Free plan! The app is the same as the regular version of the app except is is ad supported. You can add, edit, and delete sites from it, generally making it easier to manage your account on the go than logging in via the web. Planned future updates include managing your account settings.

For Premium Users….

We announced a while back that when the 3.0 software for the iPhone came out, we would have Push notifications. This feature will not be in LITE, it is for Premium users only. Version 2.5.1 was supposed to have it, which is now in the app store, but there is a problem with it and Push is not yet active. We are very sorry about this, as we know there are a number of you who signed up just for this feature. We already have a new version submitted and we will let you just just as soon as we are approved and we are certain that Push is active and working!

Wasn’t the point of the .1 release to fix the problem with push to start with?! hehe

  2. Steve says:

No push for lite… I’ll move on to another service…

You find another site monitoring service that also gives you an iPhone app with Push notifications (especially a FREE one) … you let me know. Sad to see users abandon such dedicated developers.

    • If you want really Push Notification just go Premium. You should be deticated to the service if you want Push. The rates are pretty reasonable. Not to mention your email will usually get updated at about the same speed as Push so you will know if your site goes down you’ll know by email.

Looks good, haven’t had a chance to sign up yet, but wondered if there was the likelihood of an app for WIndows Mobile (yeah, alright don’t laugh!) for thos of us that are *doze based.

  4. Eric P says:

Will the push version have an audible alert? What I need is something that will wake me up at night.

  5. Sean says:

What is the purpose of the “keywords” on the iPhone app?

  6. John says:
